What I needed to do next was to start working on the back walls for the interior. I started just by using some styrene sheets. I made the wall and cut a door way into each one.

Next I had to make the doors so I traced the out line onto my thinist sheet. The doors have a x shaped structure so I glued some thin strips onto my door ways.

After that I glued trimmed the strips down to fit the outline, I cut them off and glued them to the back of the walls.

After that I started cutting the wall down to the right shape to fit into the back of the ship. The back wall has a lot of cross beam support detail on it. It also has what looks to be more doors that can close in on it from the sides.

To recreate this I took another thin sheet, and cut it to the same size and shape. Then I cut an even larger door into it. I then added styrene strips to make the cross beams.

In front of that wall are bunks. and another wall which is almost just an arch separating the table area from the bunks. I cut another peice of styrene into shape and cut out most of the middle to make it into an arch.

Then I layered all of these onto each other to make the wall structure for the back of the runabout.

The furniture in the back of the runabut is pretty simple, chairs and a table. The table is easy, just a rectangle on legs.

I couldn't find any 1:72 office chairs so I had to scratch build those.

I measured my own desk chair and started cutting the parts. I used styrene strips for the back seat and base. I used some half round rod for the leg. I cut the half round rod down the middle to make it quarter round and used those for the arms. I also used some of the half round to make a head rest for the chair.

The front section followed the same steps. Making a back wall with a door way. Making the door detail with strips. Layering another part onto of it with a bigger door way and a arch structure in front of it.

For the furniture I used those pre-made aircraft seats, and a computer console that I scratch built .

It does not take a lot to look good.

.... I remember the grills were a pain to get to stay on
Thanks for the warning. I took some extra care on them, but yes they are a bit of a pain.

Thanks guys. The build is pretty fun so far.

I've been spending the past week sorting out the lighting. First up was making a list of what should be lit.

Blue Warp nacelle grills
Red Bussard collectors
Orange grills on the pylons
Three red running lights
Three green running lights.

And as I'm including the rollbar with sensor pod, it will need a pair of yellow lights.

First things first the only real modification I'll need to make is to the front of the pylon.

THe grill had to be cut out, I'll be putting red plastic behind it and using a yellow LED to make it glow orange.
