I like your color choices. It's nice seeing the DISCO-prise with a more TOS paint job

Nice, that's certainly different then how it appears to look on screen. I personally see it as having a much darker gun metal coloring like the NX-01 throughout, but this brings back the old school debate of screen accurate or prop accurate colors.trekmodelermichelle26 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 05, 2019 11:47 pmthe paint work is a match to the eaglemoss modelgeneralrose wrote: ↑Tue Feb 05, 2019 11:01 pm I like your color choices. Actually she may take on a more gunmetal-ish look in low light conditions. An example of that is my own NX-01 Refit:generalrose wrote: ↑Sun Feb 10, 2019 1:54 am Nice, that's certainly different then how it appears to look on screen. Goes to show, lighting is everything when it comes to the look of a model.
That's why I build mine to be darker than their normal look in ambient light. These ships live in space, they look more natural in darker colors, IMHO.

I never doubted that yours matched the Eaglemoss Model, I just don't agree with their color choice as truly representative of the Big E's On screen appearance in Disco. She's just not that light colored.
Still, I think the color choice does look good and ties way better to the original series.
Although the different lighting pictures that you and trekriffic posted are really cool
