Absolutely. Took a month to get them all on!

Huge Cosmic fingers! Itty bitty decals. Been there, been done by that.

Ok, I’m done (other than the stand, I’m still pondering what I’ll use).

All in all, I’m happy with how I’ve built this one (with the shims in between the upper and lower saucer and hull parts.

The Round 2 decals are good, but there are some details missing from them (such as some red warning lines for separating saucer, impulse engines etc.). Also missing a couple of little red decals on the saucer top (on each side of the BC decks. Another notible missing decals are saucer and secondary hull edge window decals.

I was able to add all the missing details with decals from Thomas models and Absolute models.

You can see in some of the pictures below, a comparison of the Absolute decals (on my Nebula build), and the ones from round 2. In my opinion, the Round 2 decals are a little too bold for this scale and could be a bit lighter in shade.

What I’d do differently next time? I think I’d definitely airbrush the deflector dish with its paint job, before glueing in place as I’m not that happy with the chalks. I’ve had good success with chalks on the deflector dishes on othe models in the past, but not this one! Also, I’d scan the decals into my computer and lighten them up a little.

I’m still very satisfied with the end result though :)

Comments/criticism welcome ;)

Andy

She is a thing of beauty, Andy. Amazing what you can do in this scale with decals. I would swear this was bigger than 2500 scale.

Thanks for sharing.

Very nice indeed. I keep trying to decide whether I want to do a Galaxy class again. This doesn't help my resistance!

One incredible piece of work. Incredible in how well done and incredible you did not end up in the loony bin over all those little decals.

I'm going to agree with you that the more subtle Alliance decals are better for the scale however. Scale effect is a real thing.
