Post Wonderfest
We pulled back in about 4 PM from the Village of Louis. I have yet to empty the camera. I took a few pictures not all of it Trek. We, my Wife included came home with a moderate amount of swag. Heck, until Sunday when she ran of to the Museum at Churchill Downs She was out spending me. I will have a full report when I can get some decent food and a few more hours of sleep in my own bed.
But we are back and fun was had.

The Ghostbusters arrived back in quarters in WV late yesterday evening. I have been informed that next year we are making it a 4 day excursion instead of two..........

Re: Post Wonderfest
Did you meet anyone there? Several of the old Mighty Ten-12 were there - Chief400 (Commodore Red here at AST), lakespeed, zysurge, mar10 and... some other name that escapes me right this second. Great guys, all!Tesral wrote:We pulled back in about 4 PM from the Village of Louis. I have yet to empty the camera. I took a few pictures not all of it Trek. Re: Post Wonderfest (Picture Heavy)
Sadly I did not meet anyone. A lack of communication that I won't commit next year. My wife is already discussing an AST party.
Meanwhile the handful of pictures I did take. I'm not much of a photo bug. I'll see what I can to to pack the raw images and put them on my Google drive.
A 1/1 model of John Lester from starship modeler, very realistic. I really liked the Lion guy. He was in the exhibit hall. I was wowed by the crash landed star destroyer. Metropolis is a favorite film. This Maria robot was wonderful And Homer Simpson plays King Kong in the staring role. More to come.

Re: Post Wonderfest
Continued from the last.
Nicely done large scale Millennium Falcon A second Falcon with interiors scaled to the action figures. 1/2500 destroyed Constellation 1/2500 USS Ternant. Looks familiar.... The USS Franklin. A nice lighting job. And a 1/1000 winged defender that caught my eye.

More pictures.
This large scale full interior runabout was a show stopper. I didn't read the tag but it looks 1/24 or so. Going on the shape of the bow I think it might have some Seaview in its blood. The USS Potemkin is a 1/350 Connie. Still shots do not to the lights justice as it had the full spinner and all.

Re: Post Wonderfest
The shuttle - Shackleton - was scratchbuilt by Bill Krause. Well, the main fuselage was scratched. The nacelles are the 1/350th Sentinel set from Blap! Models - which Bill designed for his Sentinel and Repulse 1/350 scratchbuilds.
Potemkin is from Michael Deptula.
Both are great fellas to sit down and talk with.

Re: Post Wonderfest
Cool, i would love to meet them.
Still plugging away.
An actual Enterprise, refit this time. Nicely done. A fully lit Imperial Star Destroyer. Impressive indeed. The camera and processing does not do it justice, And a very nice Jupiter 2

Still slugging my way through the chip.
I like B-wings. My favorite Star Wars fighter. Classic TOS computers. Complete with Nimoy's little blocks. 1/1 Assault Phaser. I bought me one of these, it will take some work. It's right behind me, isn't it? Quirky, I love it. I like Vamperilla. The artist caught Fred Winn perfectly. The Munsters was a favorite as a child.
