Commodore Reds USS Endeavor NCC-1716

Post by Commodore Red »

After returning from the Tarus Reach after her participation in the highly classified Operation Vangard the USS Endeavor entered the dockyard for repairs of serious battle damage that resulted in an extensive refit (Star Trek Vangard Novels) Her entire surviving crew was reassigned throughout the Fleet.

Her heavily damaged engineering spaces were rebuilt to accept the new LN-52 "Fleetwing" Linear Warp nacelles and upgraded Impulse Power plant. She was also fitted out with a Debreu/Lang/Siskiyu Sensor Deflector mount and upgraded shielding

The model began as a Polar Lights USS Enterprise kit that had a JT Resin Endavor Class converstion kit applied. I used Tamiya JN Grey for the base Hull color and the decals supplied with the conversion kits for the hull markings. this is not only my first completed 1:1000 scale model its the first model Ive finished in over a year!

Excellent work! I've never been a fan of those "LN" nacelles, but on this build, it just looks........right ;) I don't know if it's your base colour, or what, but I like this build.

Looks good......looks REAL good! Funny coincidence, I was just talking to Griffworks about the loaner of one of these engines so I could pattern one in 1400. It's an interesting design!

She turned out looking great, Bart! Pushes me to finish mine.

What’s your next 1/1000 project?

i like to use Tamiyas IJN Grey for TOS era ships....I like the sorta greenish hue I remeber from the original syndicated series.........

As far as what I got going.....well I've sorta been doing some 1:1 prop buildingas of late, but there is a dreadnaught and a Sentinel Class hiding in my Battlebox waiting on some attention........

Hmmm it doesn't really have a class name....its got the spliced secondary hull and uses the neck from the Heavy Destroyer for the third nacelle.........
