Do you have an old Excelsior or the new Round 2 kit? The shuttle/cargo bay area on the new kit is far better then the old.

I would slap a door over it and call it good. The thingy inside has never had any decent explanation and the bare ribs showing around it. I think ILM hates Trek.

Was it an indication of the ship being unfinished?

Worse, I have a 2500 three Ent kit. I just like looking around to see what others have done with this section.

I think you may be onto something there.
Can't really do much in the way of changing the area in a 1/2500 scale.

I think a corrugated door across the lot is the way to go. I just need to find some.

For this scale, I’d recommend Evergreen V-Groove .050” (1.3mm) spacing, .020” (0.5mm) thickness sheet stock. Stock Number is 2050 - usually EVG2050 or something similar.
