Hey there Xen, Kratok and Tesral!
I'm wondering if we could start a new sub-forum in the Tips and Tricks section for/named 'Electronics and Lighting'.
Sure, there's a wealth of info out there on the Web on this subject, but I think it would be lovely for all the n00bs (myself included) if we had a contained sub-forum on the subjects, and it would 'keep it in the family' so to speak, on AST.
I, for one, will have loads of questions when I get to this part of my build!
Just a thought ... thanks, chaps!

You could post in either Finishing or Scratchbuilding threads.
In Finishing there are loads of lighting tips and pointers.

Ta-Da!
Agreed, there are places here where these tips could be (and have been) posted. But, as mophius stated, there are also enough here already that giving them their own home makes sense. It is a subset of the modeling spectrum that is growing in popularity, so let's make it easier for folks to find answers, and share their experiences.
I'll continue to move appropriate posts into this forum as I pop in and out.
Great suggestion - Thanks!

this is slightly ot, but who was the guy that lit little e-a's at 1/2500 scale and other smaller ships? i don't remember if he was the same member that started a white backed decal company or someone else. i'm having remembering these names.
either way, it occurred to me that some of his posts would make great 'how to' topics for lighting.
also, some of the builds from older contests. completed contest builds that i had always planned on copying over to the main forums.
now, if we could only source an ast admin.
