USS Paxton NCC - 1955

Post by Kremin »

USS Paxton NCC- 1955 Escort ship, similar in size to a Perimeter Action Ship

The Basic Shape will be made using a 1/537 Reliant chopped and trimmed (saw one on Facebook looked like a cool conversion)

Image

It has an under hull Navigation Deflector

Image

The saucer mounted Nav deflector was made for the Connie so you have to trim a bit more on the Reliant then fill in the gaps. (Unfortunately while I was cutting I snapped the hull down one of the grid lines that had to be glued back together)

Looks good. Not so much on the shuttlebays, but that's what you get for a patrol escort. And I just ♥ the navigational deflector.
There are Times, Sir, when men of good Conscience cannot blindly follow orders. You acknowledge their sentience, but ignore their personal liberties and freedoms. Order a man to hand over his child to the state? Not while I"m captain.

Day off today so even though I'd been at work all night I thought not much can go wrong

Image

basic shape is looking good, still some sealing and sanding to do and the new B deck is fitted

Image

Image

after I glued the sides on I realised I had made a mistake due to tiredness

Image

I haven't put the Impulse deflection crystals in so I have to work out what to do

At least the underside is looking how I want

The Major construction is done, a couple of details to do and the lifeboats to be added to the underside, I might fit a couple of docking ports or docked shuttles to the aft of the main hull and the aft Torpedo launches need fitting then painting of the final hull colour can start

Really cool ship!

I'm guessing a tribute to Bill Paxton?
