Ships of the Line Calendar

For everything Star Trek related, that isn't covered by the other forums.

Ships of the Line Calendar

Post by jkb-1 »

I've been posting reviews of the calendar to rec.arts.startrek.tech, to diminishing responses as Usenet slowly dies.

Would anyone here be interested in discussing it? If this link to:
Google Groups
doesn't work, should I post the 9 kilobyte tome here?

I had one a few years back. I have no idea where it is.

I never bought the calendars, but I did buy the SoTL hardcover book a few weeks back. It's a lot easier to flip through than the calendars.

I love that book! There are so many good paintings in it. It gives me lots of good ideas for models, too.

My dad bought the SoTL hardcover book in past years. I was pleased to see that book which impressed me a lot. I spend much time with it.

I've got all of the SofL calendars sitting in my bookcase along with most of the printed reference books for kitbashes. There are so many ships I'd LOVE to see as kits. Nice of Fantastic Plastic to do up that Station.

I have all of these calendars and I love them. They just have fantastic art. The book is also great and I have that as well. I'm hoping they make a second volume with some of the newer art.

I certainly hope this isn't the last year for these calendars!

Good news, everyone! Doug Drexler confirms there will be a 2014 calendar:

I can't find a link to the other article that says the artists were able to pull under the deadline and keep this from being a reprint "best of" collection, so take that on faith.

[woops: edit. hope the link works now.]
