I'm going to stop going chronologically because I'm going into "fun mode." Straight out of the box 2500 Reliant from the PL movie set...

Building the Reliant led to my working on my first 3-D model, someone's concept of what a TOS Miranda would look like (sadly this one is no longer offered on Shapeways). While I was working on this I caught Dave Lewis' ("The Cat" on other boards) scratchbuilt TOS Miranda. The markings he used inspired what I did with mine

And the Reliant also inspired this build. I had a 2500 PNT "Avenger" model kit that I did not want to build as another Reliant-type of ship. It hit me that I should build it as the original concept of the Reliant. Being an inverted version of an "Avenger," I went with the more positive name of the Redemption

As you can tell from my TOS Intrepid and Reliant-inspired builds, I like to do "echoes." That is how the JJ-verse Gizmotron 2500 USS Kelvin...

Became the inspiration for prime universe USS Farenheit, using the Enterprise from the old AMT "Spaceship Set" (coincidentally, I bought that set out of nostalgia. I had built three of them during my first modeling phase back in the 80s). I made it 2500 by replacing the bridge with a 2500 scale version and using windows sized at 2500 and spacing them at 2500 scale decks. I can't recall if this was my first successful scratchbuild or if it was the Intrepid...

And yes, some day I will build the 2500 scale USS Celsius

Became the prime-verse USS Wasp (another kitbashed frankenship composed of VA Miniatures Stingray Cruiser & ventral nacelle, 3D printed dorsal nacelles and a Cozmo Heavy Industries photon torp rollbar)

Finally, how the TOS concept of the Daedalus Class inspired the Olympic Class (my DQ model is still in progress). This is my 3D printed 2500 USS Horizon (sadly no longer offered)

And a TOS version of the Daedalus, the USS Maria (also sadly no longer on the market)
