As per the title. It'll be a major challenge, especially the rim windows, but I have some blob LEDs knocking around.
Get the D finished first, then the fibre optic DS9.

I have also wondered this possibility and believe that it can be done.
If you use a couple of micro LEDs and just drill the windows through the rim, maybe cover them with some Micro Krystal Klear, then it would be lit and visible. Light blocking would have to be thick as there is print on the inside of the saucer.
Nacelles would be the big challenge but going the same route as the Ent-D nacelles should be possible and even the nav lights with KK should be ok.
Secondary hull is no problem unless you want the deflector in two colours.
Run the feed wires up through the stand rod, using brass tube, and battery in the stand.

"Blob LEDs"?
As to the print you sand that off. I do that even if I don't light the thing.

Yeah, not the correct term for them.

It's definitely doable, I lit the small SNW enterprise and the Discovery and Shenzu, and they came out great. Takes more patience

Yeah, patience is a virtue, which is lacking at the minute, but that's due to real life stuff.
