1/2500 SEWAC's concept

Post by RogueWolf » Sat Feb 23, 2019 9:28 pm

So I've been away from the forums and my bench for like, over a year or so now. I've just had some issues and was getting no joy from the hobby, and that kept me away from the boards as well.

But I'm doing a lot better now. And after a few false starts in the last few months, I am finally back at the bench and having fun again.

This week I have been dusting off some old builds and getting psyched up to get them finished. First up is the Delta shaped SEWAC's (Space-borne Early Warning and Control) ship.

So, first a reminder of where the concept left off over a year ago...

And later on I'll post some updated pics of my progress.

Updates!

So the first thing I did was add an extension to the main hull:

And a look from the underside;

With nacelles added and slightly modified;

Working on the sensor pod pillions, not sure if I should go with a single center pillion or two like I have pictured here;

And with the sensor pod in place;

I intend to have details exposed on the underside of the pod, leaving the upper side smooth as you see it now.

Keep going. It is good to have you back on the horse so speak. I find your found object scratch builds interesting.

Thanks Tesral, it feel good to be back at the bench and contributing to the forums again.

cool! :drool:
that 'back-extension' part looks a very natural fit.

this is a project I can "build-along at home" with;
I've got boatloads of Furuta bases and Ninjwo bot parts

Well guys, I have to take a little break for the next 8 to 10 days or so to go up north for a military exercise. I should be back around the 10th or 11th.

Once back I intend to use vinyl to add hull detail to the bugger and work on the sensor pod docking points.

Cheers!
