I'm following and digging it.

Though in all honesty, there's something about the colour of your deflector that makes it look like she's gonna give someone a big ole kiss...

I am also intrigued by how you added styrene to widen the trenches around the perimeter of the primary and secondary hull. The primary hull I understand. But I am having trouble visualizing how you did that in the secondary hull without changing/widening the opening into which the main deflector sits. Can you provide more info?
I only added 0.5mm to the trench so the gap around the deflector only increased 0.25mm on the top and bottom. A little putty was needed put it closed the gap pretty easily.

Come to think of it, I might have even glued an 0.5 mm strip inside the top half of the secondary hull where the deflector touches the hull there.

On a model that size that can make a difference.

Good to know that there’s people following :)

I’m starting the decals on the top. Once again, a mix of the kit decals, Absolute, and T.M’s

The saucer edge window decals are microscopic and are very hard to get on!

I have all the saucer edge window decks on now, just need to decal the warp engines and I'm done.

Of coarse, the biggest problem with doing the decals over several weeks, is that you tend to loose some of the decals :banghead:

As I had an uncommon release of these decals (which had green tones, not Blue), which represents the 6 foot studio model better than the blue tone ones (which are better on a model representing a later version of the ship-4 foot model), I had to do some creative colour editing on a scan of the blue decal sheet.

Putting the last of these decals on today.

BTW- I also edited off the detail on the top of the warp nacelles which was only present on the 4 foot model, not the 6 foot one (which I'm trying to represent here).

The window decals for the secondary hull edge are proving just as fiddlley as the saucer ones.

All decals are on now. Letting the last few settle down, then for a dull coat, and making a stand.
