USS Typhon

Post by RogueWolf » Tue Apr 03, 2018 5:31 pm

I've been working on starting on this build for the past two years. after two false starts (that had to be scrapped) I've started again.

For those of you who aren't in the know, the USS Typhon (not TyphOOn) was the main ship in the old Play Station Star trek: Invasion game. Classified and an Armoured Outpost Carrier, she can deploy up to 26 Valkyrie class fighters. In the game she can "close up" into a Fortress mode - I will not be building her with this option.

I will be making some slight modifications to the design, but nothing too far from the sprit of the design. I plan to build her with her launch bays open so that the 1/2500 Valkyrie fighters that will come with her can be placed in the launch tubes (kinda like the Galactica).

My biggest modification will be to the landing/recovery bays at the bottom of the ship.

How big is this beastie supposed to be? Are the nacelles the same size as the Galaxy Class nacelles?

I remember this ship from an earlier thread. She's formidable looking.

She'll be 14cm long and the nacelles will be around 4-5cm, no where the length of a galaxy class nacelle.

Are they big, or small, enough to be proto-nebula top nacelle size? If they are do you think they will go on your nacelle parts list :)
