Very Nice.
Thanks for sharing.

I have a couple of these myself, but they are both the original Jupiter Station releases.

I know Odyssey Slipways made some major changes to the master, but they are not jumping out at me. I can see that he added a few missing details to the warp nacelles, and reshaped the bridge.

As someone who owns both, tell me - What other differences are there between the kits?

Here is a photo of my first-generation OS Akira, built using the PNT Models Akira decals. The decals were made for the JS kit, and didn't match up exactly. I didn't realize that until AFTER I'd already started applying them, by which time it was too late the chop them into smaller bits to match the contours of the updated OS kit. My mistake, and not a reflection on the quality of the kit.

I really need to get around to picking up one of the updated kits.

I have an unbuilt JS kit in my stash, and recently added one of the old Spaceboy kits as well.

Thanks for mentioning the decal differences. I have two JS kits and will make sure that I have JS decals for them.

Lovely. Your really knocked these out of the park!

I once took a month of doing mods to rfit the old Spaceboy kit...it never quit looked right, but then these kits came out and blew everything else away.

I gotta finish my two JS kits...they are purdy models.

I've got one of the RM version myself..... I have just glued it together and done a bit of filling so far.

Looking forward to this thread.
