As am I. That is EXACTLY what I was envisioning when you mentioned the possibility.

I might also be interested in one of these. It kind of depends on the final size you select, and price. Sorry I cant give a more concrete decision yet, but I try very hard not to verbalize a commitment to a modeler until I am 100% certain. But I will be watching this thread with interest.

Good to see you back here as well.

Sorry for lack of updates, RL caught up a couple weeks ago, and I've been under the weather since so haven't had the concentration to sit down and build. Hoping now I got some painkillers n some meds the migrains will settle down over the next day or so... itching to get her built :D

Not much of an update, but have made rough saucer cuts. Very rough at the moment and need evening out just thought I'd share.

Okay so small update.

Have tidied the edges and evened out the saucer panels. Have also started working on hollowing the saucer section:

Now I've done a test print check on the model to see if it's too big or way over priced. As a solid saucer, it's going to cost an arm and a leg to print lol so hoping once hollow will drive the costs down. Forecasting the costs the Achilles will be around £50 based on the ship being approximately 24cm in total length which'd make it the biggest most expensive kit I've done to date. Those interested... still interested? lol

Being that the kit is gonna be 24cm long, Gonna trial it hollow as it's larger than most of my offerings. Bit nervous as I printed the Akira hollow and it turned into an expensive undertaking, so with larger parts, gonna try on the Achilles. I'm useless with electronics, but hoping to see some lit kits after launch :)

As I said I will be interested in at least 1.
2 if the parts are going to be broken down so I can do some bashing.

Cool, so if that's four that makes it viable lol. The ship will be modular and split into multiple bits.

Aiming for: Saucer top + bottom, Stardrive Left+Right, Deflector, Struts, Nacelles top + bottom with hopefully enough hollowness for wires and fibre optics, just need to make sure the walls are thick enough.

Here's some last pics for today anyway :)

Panel work on the saucer, once done, I'll start carving in windows.
