1/1000 TOS Buzzards Lighting Queston

What way is the easiest (cheapest too) to get the flickering multicolored light going in the 1/1000 TOS nacelle Buzzard caps?

I really don't want to have to install a motor to get a good look

Chasing lights. Someone was making a pre-made kit for it. Mini LEDs are nice toys.
