My 1400 TMP and TOS fleet

Post by novahobbies » Mon May 28, 2018 6:15 pm

Moved in, and some of my models are out and in a temporary display area. Thought I'd snap some pics of the TMP fleet as it stands now, along with most of my TOS fleet.

TMP models on deck include a Federation class dreadnought, a Knox class, a Constitution II class, and a Soyuz class. There's not much I feel like I want to build my TOS fleet further. I have a heavy shuttlecarrier that's partially completed with a very large secondary hull, and I'd like to build a Surya class, bit that's it. Meanwhile, if I could, there's an easy half dozen or more TMP era ships I'd love to see done....a Menhaga battlecruiser, Lynx class timeship, Belknap, Athabaska, Ascencion, and Hornet class come to mind without even trying. :-)

Fantastic work, Rick!

Yeah, you DEFINITELY need that Federation DN, Belknap, and a Knox. Maybe even a Daran and an Athabaska! :D

Then you need to start on some Adversary's! They never get much love in 1/1400, it seems.... :(

Am I reading this correctly - a Borg Cube in 1/1400 scale? It must be huge!

D'OH!

No, the borg cube is NOT a giant 1/1400 scale cube. In fact, it's the old Macro Trek cube that's 6 inches to the side. So if you (like I) decide to call this a Borg light cruiser, it would be 213m per side.....which works out to be over 9 million cubic meters. that's quite the volume.

I'd call it more of a Borg Scout, maybe. I mean, the standard Cube is their dreadnought, right? And it's 3km on a side. So, a 213m ship would be relatively tiny.

Maybe it's a Borg RV...? :P

mmm, borgs... :borg:

I look forward to seeing even more of this excellent eye-candies.

tangent time -
the display bases also deserve honorable mention - they look stunning,
can we get some more closeups of those please,
and, being the bussard-looky-looer, can we get some more closeups of the nacelles
(particularly of the TOS era projects). :D
