Hello!

After 2 weeks of creative break yesterday I proceed the paint job. Actually I'm at engines.

Greeting,
Michael

NIIIIIICE. I love it.

Man, I just realized that mine's not technically done -- I still need to paint the windows. Maybe I'll wrap those up between the Negh'var and the next project. I'm really digging your progress here man.

Hello!

With a simple red arrow the part is just moved two leagues up!

It's a AMT ST Insurrection Enterprise E arrow in 1400 scale from the Enterprise nacelle. The word "Enterprise" was cutted off and replaced throw "Cavor". The C comes from "Majestic" and the "avor" from the Endeavor. Both were from the 1/2500 scale PNT replacement decal sheet. Very hard to deal with it..so dammed small...

Greeting,
Michael

Last weekend there was a Starcrafts Steamrunner kit up for bid on eBay. I decided to “be good” and not bid for it even though it was only up to $35-40. I rationalized it by telling myself I already have one.. but now I’m kicking myself for taking no action!

Hi!

I know, what you mean. Sometimes it makes fun to build the same class with different variants and names respectively.

But one general big problem here is that only some poor and low quality CGI pics are available. There. No clear lines and no high resolution. Only the Voyager and Enterprise E are in high resolution....so sad that DS9 was never upgrade th the HD quality.

This is really coming together well, I look forward to seeing the final reveal. Also, CRAP, somehow I managed to walk away from my Steamrunner and Akira without finishing the windows and tiny details! What the Heck! I guess I'd better get on that before I get too deep in the weeds with Valdore.

Hey,

You know, I do not really like to use big decals. But here I tried to use the AMT 853 Enterprise E decal for the upper sensor array(?). Well...its not the same size...so I removed the black layer, painted previously. Then cutted throw my mask sticker and added some tiny lines. Following by painting again..not one site looks so:

Michael

Yeah that's definitely better than the solid black. But (just MHO only) that area really does look much better with the panel decal in place. Either the Starcrafts version or the JTGraphics one. That being said, I definitely admire all the work you've done with the painting!! It's top-notch work.
