Woohoo! Great news.Del wrote:The 1/1400 Bonaventure is now back on the table. Can't say when I'll be getting it out, but should be by the end of the year. I've had the pattern now for about 2 years, but there was a problem with it that I didn't like, which is the reason for the delay. Most notably the weak pylons, but I think I've got that covered now.

Re: 1/1400 Scale Wish List
Still love 1400 scale. As others have observed, best balance between size and detail, especially for TNG/DS9 era ships. Way too much invested to consider switching now anyway.
Still lots of potential for kits in this scale:
Lots of great ships from Enterprise. Or at least the NX-01 and refit if Tom Sasser's Ennex-oh-won is gone. Andorian Kumari for certain. Bonaventure is good news.
TOS Loknar, Larson, Surya, etc.
Almost ANYTHING Starfleet from the movie era, as already listed by others here.
All the Wolf-359 ships, new kits or previous releases brought up to contemporary standards and incorporating details from some of the recently released studio model pics. Including the Springfield and Niagara. Even some of the Frankenfleet ships could be made presentable. Both Nebula variants, for certain.
Even more potential on the adversary side (love the adversaries....):
True 1400 Ferengi Dkora (Macro Trek is closer to 1:1000 scale)
Klingon D-10 Riskadh for sure. A Fek'lehr, and a more detailed Negh'Var re-release would be welcome. Maybe a B-rel with accurate proportions and engine detail?
Romulans are sorely under-represented. How about a Whitewind or Winged Defender? Sparrowhawk and Firehawk are lovely designs from TLY. Even the Nova is a reasonable candidate - about the same size as an Excelsior. Although there is a very nice TOS Romulan BOP out there, the proportions don't match the PL 2500 and 1000 scale offerings - reissue a corrected version?
In addition to other gaming designs already mentioned, there are some very nice Breen designs from STO. Maybe the Dominion Strike Cruiser from Dominion Wars?
Sona cruiser and battleship?
There was even a 1400-ish Borg DIamond posted here not long ago. I would part with some serious cash for that one....
Cardassian Galor? Keldon?
Lots of others I would like to see, but I put forward these few because I think most are viable candidates. Some make use of kit components already done (TOS/TMP veriants, etc) and therefore simplify moving them to market. Most are of a reasonable size, which holds manufacturing costs down. Most are pretty recognizable to Trek fans - especially those of us with an interest beyond just the Hero ships released in styrene. Recognition in turn helps sales. And many either fill a void left by kits going out of production, or a void due to being subjects that have never been released before.
Kudos to the manufacturers and craftsmen who still support this scale. Still lots of life left, IMHO.
And that Korolev is a thing of beauty.

And as long as we are dreaming?
Once (if) the dust settles, I sure would like an Ares and D-6 in 1:1400.......

Of all of Paul's magnificent models, this is the one I'd probably give my eyeteeth for: the Goodson class!!

Re: 1/1400 Scale Wish List
I'd like to see a styrene Connie & refit in 1/1400
or a galaxy, ambassador & sovereign in 1/1000
just want all the cannon ships in one scale all made from styrene (bigger size ones)

Beat me too it!
Before I converted to 3D I built one out of stryene - not as crisp as that, but it's still a nice ship from above. The Drive is god awful though so I equipped mine with a Equinox style star drive instead
