I'd say- one for one when it comes to seams. This kit seems to use most of the same molds as used by the POL803, with only a difference in - colored plastics for the Primary Hull navigational lights, and a set of non-clear inner bussard domes. Everything else- it's practically the same kit- just no extras for us more experienced modelers to play with.

Even the little spur on the front of the primary hull is there- covered with the 3 white circles.

Why is that spur there? I've never gotten a clear answer on that.

I can't remember where exactly- but that spur is apparently present on the production model in the series...

No spur here (not linking directly, this picture is huge) http://www.ex-astris-scientia.org/scans ... malte3.jpg

...or here (older restoration)

and it is definitely not in this production photo

I think someone at Polar Lights trolled us all.

Edit:
It might be on the pilot version, though I'm still not 100% convinced.

Then one wonders where it got included and why? I've ground it off mine.

This looks like a quick solution to adding an "Enterprise" to the 1000 range. I must have a dozen PL Connies in the SSR. They take time.

That's the thing I simply cannot find it or recall where I read it. That's the best I can tender.

Sorry.

Hold it.

I just remembered their 350 kit. it doesn't have that spur on the cover...

I've definitely heard people say it was on this production model or some other one on forums as well. SM, CultTVman and many many others. Like I said before, nobody gave me a straight answer. Pics or it didn't happen!

As per the request- close up of the rim of the saucer.

Still working on doing the closeups...

Primary Hull Details.
The Impulse Engines. Now how on earth should I fix that?

Ventral Saucer- All the usual decals are painted on- in precision crisp. The colored navigation lights are well suited to being lit. One can't see the coloration quite so well in this view.

A much better view of the bow of the saucer section.
