Shipment arrived. Some paint for the Constellation, a new paint shaker to replace the one I have to hold upside down to get it to work, and some unrelated items.

Still Robart, still the same design. AC instead of DC. Ducks egg blue in the cradle. It is much lighter not being weighed down with D cells, and I need some way to keep it from walking off the table.

I'd try looking at R/C vehicle weights or maybe fishing lure weights. The R/C usually come with an adhesive backer, which holds pretty well to most surfaces.

Just a thought.

The model train guys like to mix tungsten powder with a little putty to get maximum tractive effort out of their locomotives.

Back off the stand for better manipulation.

Egg of the duck and silver undercoat for the clear blue. I found a spot to balance the bridge and ventral humps, a section of nacelle, not totally clear but these are real "in progress" shots, no clean up yet and I think second coats are required as well.

There have not been many progress shots of late.

And Ventral

As much as people disdain blue from the egg of a duck, I find it to be a nice blueish shade of grey that works well for Feddie ships. Not too grey, not too blue

Necro the thread. The ship is still waiting and the dust need to be off shaken.

I've been looking at it. The tendency is to clean up what I have and declare victory.
