My first Ever Starship Aprils Enterprise

Post by Rigel » Tue Nov 13, 2012 8:51 pm

This was my very first effort of a star trek model, and also my first model after 25 years away from the hobby. It was something of an experiment and a learning exercise. Its my interpretation of what Captain Aprils Enterprise may have looked like.

I am a BIG fan of what you've done here. Some changes are obvious, some subtle. The ship really does look like a predecessor to Pike's Enterprise, as if it was the prototype or testbed for the Constitution-class.

Rigel, I took the liberty of editing your last two posts, so the pics are inline. I thought folks might like that. We're very much for instant eye candy at AST. ;)

I don't know if Rigel prefers posting links (in which case I can put them back the way they were), or if he didn't realize it's okay to post inline pics. Either way, they look stunning!

Yes, I agree, this is well executed and very cool. I like the overall color scheme of the ship.

I like this. It definitely looks like an earlier version of the Enterprise prior to Pike taking command. What color did you use for the hull? It looks like steel or sometihng close.
