This is another of the PL conversion kits that was offered through Starship Modeler. I always considered it to be a Loknar Class frigate, but it was never specifically named as such.
The kit uses two PL warp nacelles, and the bridge dome. The primary hull is cast as upper and lower sections, and the extended hull is cast as a single piece with integrated warp nacelle pylons. The small part running of the aft portion of the primary hull back to over the impulse engine is also provided.
This was the first or second resin kit that I ever did, and the fit is a bit rough in places (didn't really know all that much about resin at the time).
These photos were taken around 2006, and I really need to do an updated photo session with a newer camera and tripod that I use now.

I just sold my 1/1000 Loknar conversion kit a week or so ago. Did you get the 1/2500 kit when SSM was offering it?

Re: SSM Federation Frigate Conversion
No, I missed out on it, but I managed to pick up a damaged Loknar in a karma bomb from a member of the Ten-12 board. Part of one warp nacelle pylon is snapped off, but it's nothing that can't be fixed. And with the multiple TOS-A-D AMT/Ertl sets I have, I'm not hurting for warp nacelles.Del wrote:I just sold my 1/1000 Loknar conversion kit a week or so ago.
