Yeah, I saw that one too ages ago. But the cockpit on the sub is a sphere, not an oval like the Sphinx has. That's why I never considered it as an option.

Not a lot in the way of progress, just marking out important features on paper and styrene for planning the length and so forth. I basically divided the craft into four sections to make it easier for determining how everything should look and be in place;
Then I made a few simple cuts;
I'm thinking I should make the impulse/waldo pods separate...

Re: Bragging Rights Contest 2015 - RogueWolf's Entry
Pilot access to this craft bugs me. We can clearly see a hatch at the back of the pod here:
But it would be too low for easy access in/out of the cockpit. I'm thinking that maybe the whole 'cab' opens up, hinging foreward so that the two crew can get in/out, kinda like this:

Not sure I will build her like this - yet. I kinda want to so I can build a cockpit, but as I intend to paint the 'windows' black, I kinda feel that it's a waist of time.
I really want to build her as a kit but I beleive that Andy Probert has someone lined up to master a kit of it already. That and the fact that I'd need to get in touch with him and get his permission to kit his design.
Besides, If I were going to build a kit of this subject, I'd like to get the canopy/cockpit alot more accurate than what I have now with regards to the shape.
