Thanks Gato. I'd suggest using decals for the end caps. My inking here doesn't hold up to scrutiny and I had to re-ink them quite a few times to get the dots right. The easiest thing to ink were the crescents the top and bottom of the caps.

That was a very creative repurpose of the base. It looks like it was made just for a star trek vehicle.
