Some more progress on the stand:
It is painted black and here the bird picture is getting glued on. Cut up Styrofoam with yellow/orange/red markings are glued onto the plasma torpedo to create the roiling gaseous form.I'm a modeler, not a doctor...

Bird's nest is finished!
It's kind of like a school kid's craft project, but my overly-organizational clutter-free wife always want me to either make space for things or get rid of them.

Some more logo/display/stands for TOS era:
Starship Schematic Database. The bottom left is a Gorn logo/stand next to another Gorn logo. Next is a Tholian logo and finally a TOS Romulan symbol seen in "The Enterprise Incident". They are 'krafty' -- made from wood, cardboard, paper, pins, netting and clear plastic.
The top is a Tholian wall display with a practical storage pocket for the tiny fleet - based off logo seen in I'm a modeler, not a doctor...

I had some miscellaneous ships with no place to put them, so I came up with this idea to make something look like the main view screen and show notable space events with these ships coming out in "3d":
This is currently a "work-in-progress", needing touch-ups and some hand painted stars, etc.I'm a modeler, not a doctor...

Well, moving again & again one can expect some damage to models. So, I took a broken TOS Enterprise and turned it into a "Catspaw" approximation:
The teardrop bridge area is circular, the nacelles are simpler and the deflector dish housing had the outer ring removed. Painted in Testor's stainless steel.I'm a modeler, not a doctor...

No, it's pretty much a 1/2500 scale TOS Enterprise with some minor changes (the nacelles are replaced with just some reshaped sprue, some "weight" was added to the saucer so it is more balanced on the chain, sand the teardrop shape round and remove the outer ring from the deflector dish housing).
This is a pic from the episode "Catspaw":
