They were very impressive in person. Same with the USS Grissom. Big ships. Huge ships.

Nice pics! I look forward to attending in the near future.

Is the location and the time of year of the Wonderfest pretty much the same every year?

Pretty much. Crowne Plaza in Louisville, KY. WonderFest According to the website it's June 4-5, 2016. If you stay across the street at the Howard Johnson's you can save about $30 per night.

When I looked into HoJo's booking last week, the regular room rate was $118.75 per night. If I pay in full in advance, the price drops to $100.94 per night (plus tax). That's about $20 more per night than I paid in 2014. My AAA discount puts the room at $106.88 per night. I'm just kinda wary of shelling out $470.00 right now.

Still cheaper than across the street at the Crowne Plaza (starts at $150, and I don't know if they've got the WF block pricing in place yet) but it's still a bigger chunk of change, even split multiple ways.

HoJo's used to have a promo where if you stayed 3 or more nights, you got a 20% discount, so our rooms had been costing about $80 per night. Looks like that may be long gone now.
