Oh, one other thing.
I know that the decals are already 'chopped up" into sections, but you'll probably find that even then there will be distortions and stretch marks. The reason being- the decals are printed onto the equivalent of 2 dimensions. The model itself is in 3 dimensions. A Mercator Map will give you an idea.
What I've done with just about every large Aztek decal- sliced them into small segments. It's a lot more work, but when it comes time for the fitting, once you've gotten the decal where you want it, you won't want to fiddle with it anymore than you have to. As mine own 1/350 refit Enterprise has a number of fold marks in it's decals.
It's more work, but it's also more satisfying in the end.
