There must be something in the Oregon Air that allows my decals to stick longer.

Zap a gap (did not use kicker) and Krazy Glue more or less crumbled for me, along with other store bought glues I can't remember off the top of my head (Loctite I think?). Your mileage seems to vary here it seems.Tesral wrote:Curious, the Constellation sat for weeks in full strength Simple Green and stayed in one piece. I might depend on your CA.DefiantClient wrote:Pretty much any adhesive that doesn't bond the parts together (Super glue) will be wrecked too by Simple Green. Expect to reassemble your resin models.Tesral wrote: Be careful it kills filler. I whole heatedly recommend this for stripping paint. HOWEVER, it does attack filler. Plastic, resin, metal are all fine. But bondo or, Squadron putty are not.

Yea, Zap is my go too Devil's brew. Thin and gap filler. I travel quite a way to get it.DefiantClient wrote:Zap a gap (did not use kicker) and Krazy Glue more or less crumbled for me, along with other store bought glues I can't remember off the top of my head (Loctite I think?). Sooooo guys... into the final leg now. I made a start on the decaling yesterday
I've been waiting to do this for aaaages
They're going on really well...
She definitely needs a coat of matt clear though, she looks very toy like, and I don't like that
That being said she's looking better than she has at any point I've had her.
Yes, she isn't perfect, but she's mine

If she's not perfect she's pretty darn close. I need to save my fun money till I can nab all of those aftermarket decals. That's a real pretty ship when she's all dressed up.IndianaCook wrote:Finally!!
