a little update
I came up with an idea for switches for the different circuits.
I am quite excited about it. It will placed in the base that I build for the model.
I plan to have backlit LCARS on the base as well. Still in the planning stages.

Each ISO chip will control its own circuit. One for engines, one for windows, one for nav lights, one for strobes and one for deflector dish.

this is a drawing of the base design. I ordered backlit film for LCARS displays and picked up some plexiglass at Lowes. I will build the box this week.

I got the slots cut out of the plexiglass where the ISO chips go. the edges are rough looking cause of the clear backing that will be removed when the backlit LCARS arrive.

the holes in the top of the switch box are for small LEDs that will shine thru the ISO chip as it connects the circuit.
