Who doesn't like Lego?

Post by Tesral » Fri Nov 17, 2017 6:32 am

Lego X-wing. The guys at Lego continually surprise me at what they can get a simple building toy to do. Force Awakens X-wing.

Propped up on some bricks to open the wings.

Who doesn't like Lego?

Me. When I accidentally step on a brick with bare feet. Its agonising.

It's a shame Lego didn't go for the ST license. We'd have all sorts of Lego Star Trek ships by now

Think of how interchangeable the parts would be. It would be a kitbashers dream.
TOS parts on TNG or VOY ships.
There is no dark side of the moon really, matter of fact its all dark.

Lego's designer employees are very creative and into their jobs. They also conduct numerous contests of custom builds (winner gets kit produced), conventions, etc. that also provide ingenious ideas. My wife has a lot of free time and watches videos about this stuff. She's also a little obsessed and a little OCD, here's our large game room:

Those are bins full of sorted Legos stacked about 6 feet high, shelves with Lego city stuff on the right and a custom Harry Potter multi-stage build on the left (the gap in the middle is room for the entire collection of DVD/Blue Ray videos. BTW, my work area/man cave is behind the wall out of view. Here's a reverse view of the game room:

Left/behind the TV is the 2+ foot Tower of Saruman, some castle thing on the shelf above. She's got stuff (including Cinderella's castle) in other areas of the house. She's rubbed off on my son, here's his room with mostly Star Wars stuff:
