Just letting people know, I have not wandered off, I am fighting my sinuses and have been a for a couple of weeks now. Energy is down as has my motivation to post. I'm still here. Just kinda quiet.

My word... I HATE windows 10 so much right now. It decided to corrupt the recovery drive and crash last night. And my dumb ass didn’t have a backup of the OS made. Spent HOURS downloading recovery software from MS site and have been fighting with the PC to accept it

My son had the recovery drive issue when the whole hard drive went tits up.

One reason I use separate physical drives for /root and /home.

yeah, I'm happy it was just the SSD with the OS on it, and all my other files are on the secondary drive

luckily nothing lost, but 2 days lost to the recovery and reinstall of the OS - Windows just decided to corrupt itself and get stuck in a repair loop

I am fixing the arm of my chair. I just spent a good 15 minutes on one screw that did not want to find the hole, and an awkward angle at that. I hate engineers.

I know that feeling - my previous job bought a couple pallets of bedside dressers (about 20 total) all had the bottom drawer with bad angles on the handles holes

After struggling for the better part of a year with shoulder pain (keeping me from doing most of my normal physical activities), I just had surgery. I have too keep it immobile in a harness for 6 weeks, then after lots of physical therapy I may be able to start using it again in a few months.

Its been a long, costly process keeping me away from things I'd like to do. Hopefully, I will be back to full speed before too long.

Speedy recovery dude. Sometimes that is the hardest part.
