My pet peeve?

Prety much all of Humanity. We are dicks. This fact is proven to me every day on my comute to work/home. This ammount of dickery shouldn't be this rampant outside of a prono collection.

Probably why I like plastic/resin and glue so much.

"Dear Humanity, STOP IT!" - God

"See! See! RIGHT THERE!!! This is why I randomly smite those frakers!!!" -God

"Dear Humanity, have you seen my son? (Whats that St. Peter? THEY DID WHAT TO HIM?!?!)" - God

Another pet peeve, weather wise.

Folks who feel safe enough to stay well within braking distance on an icy road when you're driving slow, because: A) Black Ice, and B)Tirechains.

But DON'T feel safe enough to pass you.

People who drive too fast on snowy roads, endangering the rest of us. I'm especially peeved at how most of them have the following program controlling their behavior:

10 fear := false
20 while (fear = false)
drive faster
30 if (traction = 0) then
fear := true
40 if (fear = true) then
for (time = 120 seconds)
drive slower
50 goto 10
But isn't it all Klingon opera?

i like the idiots who think just because they have a big 4X4 truck they can just zip on by ya when roads are crappy . sure good deep tread is nice on mud and snowy roads but on slush and ice they just as good as slicks .. had one guy one pass me in my lil escort wagon like i was standing still . mind you i was doing about 30 on roads with about 6 inches of nice new packy snow .. 10-15 miles down road i come upon a couple trucks with flashers on and see some marks in road where someone had lost it .. sure enough i slowly creep past and whos about 50 feet off road through a wire fence and a few small bushes .. same dumb idiot who passed me .. seen them standing by road wondering how they gonna get truck out .. i beep , wave and slowly keep on going ..

Here's my current one.

I work in a department store. So lots of late night this time of year. My pet peeve is the customers who come in near closing and say

"I'm so sorry to keep you here"
"I'm so sorry you have to work so late"
"I'm so sorry you had to work on Thanksgiving"

First, this is my job and I like it. So stop treating it like it's so sad I have to do it. I don't walk up to some one in a restaurant and say "I'm so sorry you wait tables"

And lets face it they are not sorry I'm working and my store is open. If they were so sorry we're working then why be out shopping. They like that my store is open so they can shop late. So why not say that?

"I'm so glad you're open late tonight"
"This really helped me out. Glad you're open"
"This was fun shopping on Thanksgiving I hate being with my family so thanks"

Hey Mario, I personally feel that stores should not be open on these important holidays. People will still shop the next day. In fact, it was nice living in Germany for 4 years where most stores are closed on Sunday. I think it's important to give families time to be together.

That said, during my military career, I rarely had holidays off. Not even a birthday. I usually opted to let my Soldiers have holidays and birthdays when possible though. Like you said, if you like your job, then little sacrifices can sometimes be rewarding.
