The TOS era stuff looks great with a bit of weathering on them.

You can't really do that with a galaxy class can you.

I don’t know. Depending on the scale, a little bit couldn’t hurt.

At 1:350 certainly :D

I don't know I think the plain surfaces of the TOS stuff is very much enhanced by the weathering whereas the fussy aztecing etc of the later stuff combined with the massive scale of the ships makes weathering less necessary. Probably a bit of false shadow work and detail point washes is enough.

Everything in moderation and by the eye of the artist to achieve whatever effects are necessary to show scale. Your milage may vary.

That arboretum is beautiful!

How are you getting those windows on the primary section cut so cleanly and uniformly? Or is the photography being forgiving?

The primary window inserts were 3D printed sections that were installed into the styrene hull to maintain consistency.
