Just wasn't going to be happy with the Bridge section so went in a different direction with it
First off I tried with a wedge cut
And started to glue the side panels on
The wedge was wrong so it got squared off
and any loose bits glued in place
almost at the end of construction, should be ready to start paint next weekend

Well done! I like your plan B with the bridge unit. Very imaginative and it looks great!

First Paint
Primer coat brings it together
Changed some details that I didn't like and added some other parts
Blacked in the structure
Then Highlighted in old gold

Man that's a job and a half you've done on this. Very cool.

Now Don't Laugh

I mixed up some light purple
.

.
.
.
.

It looked fine on the pallet

So I painted it and let it dry

It was wrong

Very wrong and a lot different than it looked wet

The merchantman while a very fine bit of work looks to me to be more Star Wars like than Star Trek. The result of ILM taking over for Trek FX.
