Klingon Infiltrator

Post by Kremin »

I Felt like doing something different so grabbed some parts I had I decided to build a medium sized Klingon ship that would bring several squads of Klingon Warriors to invade a staion or ship

I started off with half a KBoP 1:350 and half a K'Tinga 1:537

I didn't want it to look like a BoP with a small K'Tinga on the back so I started by turning the hull of K'tinga backwards so the wings were forward sweeping and I cut a chunk off the BoP to attach it to the hull

Cutting off more of the aft end of the BoP I used both sets of hinges to make a large area for the squad barracks and filled them in then covered over the gaps using parts from the wings of the BoP

Dude! That freakin rocks!!!! I love it

I did a regular K-tinga like that (shorted boom, turned around aft hull- it's posted on the site somewhere), but this is far far better!!!

Damnit- I really like this.

Sorry for the gushing, man.

Still a lot of Dry Brushing and Inking to do and pick out some details. I don't know where the bottom section of the nose is right at the moment, things have been a little bit chaotic at home, but when I find it it will get a contrasting red / orange / yellow paint scheme

This is really working for me. I'd like to have seen a bit more mods on the engines to make them not look like sized down K'tinga warp nacelles, but as a whole, it is a wonderful design, and even better, the way it was engineered to go together in such a natural and believable way :)

I'll admit I had my doubts about mixing the two ship elements but you've really pulled it off. Looking good!

P.S. Actually do I see a third element? Is that an AMT TOS Enterprise bridge and B-C deck I see on the underside?
