Custom parts for 1/2500
Is there anybody that makes custom parts in 1/2500 scale? Specifically, I'm looking for something like this but in the TOS or Pre-TOS era.. I can get close, but not as pretty and neat.
i don't know. I'm making it up as I go.

Re: Custom parts for 1/2500
I have thought about that. Then today at our family's Mother's Day dinner, I was talking with my wife's nephew (the frighteningly smart one). He has decided that he would like to buy a 3D printer. The local university has one but he doesn't think it's good enough. I told him I might be able to funnel some cash his way, if he can distract my wife for a bit, but I was pretty sure he could recoup his costs by designing and selling some parts to you guys (and to be honest, mostly to me). The biggest hurdle now is to keep him interested in 3D printing and not getting sidetracked on Asian juggling balls or somesuch nonsense. The problem with really intelligent people is that they get interested in everything and then something new comes along..

Hi Hoss,
Do you mean like the pic, but as a smoothie with a TOS deflector? What ship is that from too please? Looks Miranda-ish.
Oooo railguns.

I don't know what ship that is or where I even found the pic. I'd love to be able to have a bunch of custom made 1/2500 scale parts like is avaliable for 1/1000 scale. And TOS is my favorite era too

Re: Custom parts for 1/2500
I had a look at my 1/2500 Gizmo Miranda's and they have that deflector config with the cylindrical parts flanking the dish. I can make you pretty much any of the parts from any Trek ship so you'll have the files and can then print yourself as many of each as you'd like.
Cheers

I'll get in touch with you as soon as I can get my three in progress ships out of drydock.
I partially destroyed an UGH Phase II Enterprise tonight..
With the help of a leftover piece of a 1701-A, I might have fixed it. Won't be perfect but good enough for me.
