Hey Guys! Greetings from Florida

Post by madman1701a »

Hey everyone,

I used to lurk here, and ran back across the board a while ago and figured it was a good time to join. :D Some of you guys probably already know me from around other places.

I like to build all kinds of things, but in the past couple of years I've been designing and printing ships like a crazy person. Mostly Trek ships, but all other kinds too.

Going to try and start up a WIP thread here, so I can share what all I am working on.

Have fun guys! Amazing work around here!

Welcome. Loved your website. What 3d printer(s) are you running?

Welcome to AST.

We have a section here where you could offer your printing services. Look at 3rd party services.

Alternatively you could list your sales items in the Classifieds for people to purchase.

you can also add your store in the links section. many vendors do that and use that section for updates.

Thanks guys! Sorry I dropped out there for a while, I ended up in the ICU for 3 days with Diabetic Ketoacidosis which was a ton of fun. I've had type 2 diabetes for years now, and have had trouble with just about every medication that I've been prescribed. After this event, they decided to go ahead and just put me on insulin shots and call it a day. ;)

I've got 3 printers running now. My newest two are QIDI Tech Ones, which are Makerbot 2 clones more or less. My orginal machine is the old FlashForge creator, a Makerbot 1 clone. I've had good luck with these type of machines... I print exclusively with ABS plastic, and have enclosures on all 3 machines.

Thanks for the suggestions... I'll go ahead and get some posts in the services area. :)
