Hot Wheels Excelsior 1/2500?

Post by ian » Wed May 29, 2013 9:27 am

If someone purchases one could you please see if it is 7 inches in length. If it is, it would be equal in length to Gizmtrons and thus 1/2500 scale. Thanks! :)

Somebody over on Starship Modeler said they ordered one from Amazon and the registry number on the bottom of the primary hull was printed as 0002-CCN.

I know this is a really old post, but if the question is still valid, I've got one and it's right about 7.5" long.

The completed Gizmotron Excelsior kit measures almost 7 inches long, 2.75 inches wide, and 1.25 inches high.

My only complaint with solid resin models is you can't put lights in them :( that and the price...

Well you could put lights in them, but it would take a fine hand with the dremel....

I mostly purchase wheels from eBay. It is best and reliable source for me because I confidently buy items from that source. I found all ranges of quality wheels there.

Here is a picture of a 1/2500 modified Enterprise B and the Hot Wheels Excelsior. All parts of the ship are almost identical in size. The warp nacelles are slightly longer but what makes the Hot Wheels version longer is that the nacelles are located further back on the secondary hull. Overall length is roughly 7-1/2".

It looks a skooch larger all around. 1/2400 maybe. Its a difference of 8 feet to the inch.

I freely mix the two scales.
