READ THIS IF YOU ARE BEING LOGGED OUT
If you have been following the latest AST Host update thread https://allscaletrek.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5357 then you will already be aware that ast has been having technical problems for more than a month now.
it is my belief that we are under sustained ddos style attack and to date cloudflare has been the only option i have tried that actually greatly reduces this problem.
i am aware that activating cloudflare has caused certain members to be logged out. a fix was implemented to stop this from happening and it has worked for tesral and myself, so i am uncertain as to why it isn't working for those few that have reported it. i also do not know how widespread the problem is.
rest assured that i will continue to work on the problem, but for now what would help is if you posted the following information, so i can try to narrow down where to look for the needle in the haystack.
1) how many times are you being logged out a day?
2) is there something specific you do on the site that causes you to be logged out or is it more widespread (list the actions you take which causes the log out)?
3) what browsers and versions have you used (i.e. chrome v xx) that causes you to be logged out.
4) do you make sure you check the ''remember me'' box before logging in?
5) is there anything else you feel that i should know about regarding this issue (e.g. a pattern of when it happens, intermittent, certain times of the day).

Re: READ THIS IF YOU ARE BEING LOGGED OUT
Using Opera on a mobile phone. I am sometimes using mobile data which can skip IP's now and then. Also been on WiFi at home, work and other free providers and not been logged out for well over a week now.
Not sure about my desktop PC as I am not on there much.

I was being logged out chronically- while trying to submit a replay or even change threads. It has not happened this week however so whatever was causing the problem at least from my view is OK now.
Using Chrome Version 49.0.2623.112m on a desktop running WinXP, Service Pack 3

i have enabled being able to change your vote in case it happens again. i did this as i had to go back to using cloudflare yesterday, which seems to be the cause.
to those of you still being logged out please provide the information requested in my initial post.
i would like to have my cake an eat it by keeping the site within normal resource levels and have keep every user that has opted to stay logged in happy, without any problems.

Seems to happen when I'm away for several hours. So I guess, once a day?
Using the latest version of Pale Moon (28.2.1 32-bit version, as of typing this) in Firefox compatibility mode. (to keep some websites from telling me I need an up to date browser)
I always check "Remember me."

Re: READ THIS IF YOU ARE BEING LOGGED OUT
There are a few factors;
i) If you don't select "Remember Me/'keep me logged on",
it will move you along.
ii) if you're moving a lot (say, via a Train or Automobile Commute...), it seems to log you off more
than if you're stationary.
iii) if you log on from devices that aren't part of your home networks etc,
it seems to log you off or put prompts such as "error".
browsers + ISPs;
2 x indie,
1 x American Browser and Verizon ISP.
1 x "XhengCheong WaveRider" + ISP
5 x local browsers (such as the local Library etc).

Re: READ THIS IF YOU ARE BEING LOGGED OUT
what makes this even harder to pinpoint is that it causes problems for some, but not for others. it should either mess up everyone's sessions or not.
