The CGI of the ships was awful in that last episode - normally the Discovery looks amazing close up but both it and the Enterprise looked straight out of TOS Remastered this week.
and the size of that torpedo.... WAY to big

that was a section 31/control torpedo not a standard torpedo cause we saw the enterprise firing a couple normal sized ones at the discovery when the auto drestruct did not work and the week before we saw the the discovery firing a volley of normal sized torpedos also

but for the smaller size of some of those s31 ships, they wouldn't be able to carry very many of them at that (I presume around 30 foot long) size

yes... it's a TV show, I'll keep repeating that to myself

I was quite impressed with the bridge. They made a lot of effort to create something that would be respectful to the original design.

Thanks for all the screen captures! Awesome!

They managed to get the essence of the bridge. I like the homage to the coloured blinkies by placing them along the top of the console displays. Enterprise managed to reconcile them into their bridge, but I get why the Discovery production didn't want to go in that direction. They are not fans of colour for one thing. And the size is larger than needed.

Regardless, I like it. It's not the way I would have gone, but pretty close in a lot of regards. And it's FAR better than the Discovery warehouse sized bridge, and even more so, better than the new movies Enterprise bridge.

My critiques of some aesthetics are how incredibly dark it is. I mean the lighting. Every room on every ship in this universe is SO poorly lit!!!! And it's remarkable because they have !!!!!!!! lights EVERYWHERE. Lights pointing down, up, in your face... So I'd turn up the ambient lighting, and get rid of the pointless lights sitting on every non control surface.

31 section 31 ships, eh? That's so incredibly clever, that I almost didn't get it. yaaaaawwwwwwn. And a 4 nacelle ship designed by eaves perhaps? Another 24th century ship in the wrong time.

But to leave on a positive note, again, the bridge at least captures the essence of the TOS E in many regards.
