1/537 Connie

Post by mophius » Thu Mar 14, 2019 7:57 pm

I have recently acquired a TMP k't'inga and would like a Connie refit to sit beside it.
I know that a Smoothie would be the way to go but cost wise it is not viable. My question is are the gridlines on the 537 kits raised, or sunk, too much and can the be sanded down or filled with some re-scribing?
Same question for the Reliant too while I am here.

It's not as much the grid lines that was different about the later versions of the refit they put random raised panels all over the ship

here's a post from another member on the subject

I just had a look at the Enterprise A kit in detail (I've been occupied with Reliant), and I'm kind of disappointed with what I see.

Why is the surface textured like brick? This is horrible. Also, the window patterns on the saucer edge don't match the movie model.

Is there a different 1/537 scale Enterprise refit kit that doesn't look... well, like a brick ****house?
