Awesome! I bet it blows my old scratchbuild out of the water- there's so much more reference available now- like the entire ventral side of the ship! LOL!
CHeck Drexfiles- either there ir eaves' blog had orthoraphic views of the ship- the ventral side looks like the top with some changes at the center (obviously).
I'll see if I have those pics at home somewhere...

This is gong to be awfully large though- I scaled my scratchbuild off eaves' scale comparison chart for ST: Insurrection and made a big blueprint copy to act as reference- my scratch ended up being a bit over 15" across, IIRC.

Looking forward to how this turns out!

Okay, that gives me some perspective. It's the size of my laptop. So I assume this won't be a $30 kit?

Yep, it's going to be 15" wide x 12" long.

The biggest problem Gizmotron has had in doing this for me is meshing the differences between Eaves' artwork (which we are using since John was so generous to provide a lot of images) and the CGI they used on screen. There's some stuff that doesn't match up (like the cutouts at the rear ends of the wings) so in cases like that we are going with what the CGI shows since that is what most folks are going to be the most familiar with.
That's smart- I know the CG guys ahd made mods to eaves' designs- particularly to the poor Sona command ship, which, while very accurate to Eaves' design, there was a miscommunication and they rendered it flying backwards!
If you look at the design for the command ship, it's pretty obvious that the pointy end is forward- it matches the battleship that way!

Any plans to make the command ship? I'd be down for one of those!
