Old AMT Defiant

Post by Father Cool » Sun Dec 09, 2018 11:12 pm

Just dug out my old defiant I did in around 2005. I'd had the kit from around 1996 but held onto it for years.

I built lights into it and did loads and loads of filling and detail work but was pretty pleased with the result in the end. The connector for the lights is missing so need to rewire one but they should still work I think.

It really does look nice. I hope you get it wired up and take some pictures of it lit.

Thanks guys.

Heres a picture taken back in 2005 when I first completed it.

And a lit one from back then. Not the greatest picture.

I will try to get the lights back on at some point and take some lit pictures with modern equipment!

She still looks to be in good condition after all this time as well!

I was surprised to be honest. The layer of dust must have protected it. Haha.

Anyway I won't get time to get the lights working just yet as I have the 350 refit to finish and some other none sci fi modelling commitments to tackle but I am looking forward to getting the lights on again!
