Hi all, after a long hiatus of new releases, finally I could release my Gorn BH2 in 1/3900 scale. Other game scales will be available, as well as my sacred scale standard, although for this it would take a little bit more time, as I will need to make the walls even more thinner, to save more material.
The model is hollow, and to make it happen, I had to disassemble it in 5 parts: Top of the main hull, 2 nacelles, and the bottom of the main hull in 2 parts.
There are 2 versions:
FUD (currently Smooth Fine Detail): www.shapeways.com/product/88MEE4D2G/1-3 ... leship-fud
WSF (White Versatile Plastic): www.shapeways.com/product/R78FM9KAP/1-3 ... leship-wsf
Follows some preview pics:
And the model as it is on Shapeways:

yeah, I like making these ones, as there are too many Federation ships, and too few adversaries...

Nice! I'm one of those weird folks who love the Gorn ships from both FASA and SFB, but dislike the TOS-Remastered version from "Arena". I actually sorta prefer the SFB Gorn ships over the FASA, tho - which I normally like a lot of the FASA designs, tho not all of them. Some FASA designs are great, most are just off, if only to my sense of aesthetics.
Anyhow, that looks great. I wish it were practical to do in 1/1000 scale. They tend to get crazy expensive, tho.

I had no idea about SFB Gorn ships, so I did a search and found some designs, interesting ones, kind of modular. I know that most of them, if not all, were already released on SW, in 1/2500 and other scales I think, probably not in 1/1000 scale.

I prefer the SFB design for Gorns myself. The bricks of FASA don't do anything for me.

Uhm. The Gorn are not adversaries of the Federation, despite what Trek Online is trying to pull.
