Well I just ordered one more ship from the Shapeways store that sells this scale: a Miranda class. And at the suggestion of the store owner, I think I'll call this one the Saratoga, in honor of the ship stalled out by the Whale Probe incident. I'm looking foreward to seeing how that ship looks!

Thanks!

I got the Reliant that was claimed to be the same scale, but....it's not. It's still small, but visibly bigger. I'll probably still paint it and display it around the station, but most likely somewhere away from the Enterprise and Excelsior.

I have definitely noticed on Shapeways how some scales are not as advertised. Or that different vendors will have the same ship class in the same scale, but they’re different sizes. I started to look closely at the dimensions posted at the bottom. I even compare those measurements to my models at home!

Yeah I was working with the guy on this one and he's super nice....I'm not sure if I gave him the wrong info, or the scaling changed slightly to accommodate the roll bar, or whatever. It doesn't matter, it will still look good, just not near the other versions. :D
