Re: Odyssey Slipways

Do you think model building is waning? Seems that people under 40 just aren't in to it. I don't like to date myself (I prefer to date women-), but I think that when I grew up, model building was the only way to really get to be part of what you were into. To hold build and hold something you s...

Re: Feeling social. Where's everyone from? What's your ideal Ship Class? And what would you name her?

I reside in Dearborn, Michigan. The only spot in the contiguous United States north of Canada. My favorite canon ship is the Connie refit, fairest of then all. Feeling quirky it would be ghaH wa' Qaghmey , or "She is one of ours" in Klingon. I also design my own ships and the Manta class is one of ...

Feeling social. Where's everyone from? What's your ideal Ship Class? And what would you name her?

I know I can get locations from social profiles here, but I'm just feeling social. And thought this would be fun. I'll start. I'm in Alliston, Ontario (about 75 minutes north, north west of Toronto). I'm torn on my favorite class ship, but I'm leaning to a: Constitution refit, early c2270's. And bei...

No worries, I didn't gather you were suggesting that.

I was just really surprised that I forgot I had kids that lived so close to the border. I'm a horrible parent, LOL.

Re: Canadian Sources/ Sellers

Yup- 3 each way is a pretty big deal killer.

I doubt I'd find any deal to be worth 6 hours of my time, and $50 in diesel.

That said, I'm an idiot... My kids are always going to the US! How the hell did I forget that???

Re: Canadian Sources/ Sellers

I'm about 3 hours away. But after a year of crossing twice a night, and the silliness of the border guards on either side, it's completely soured any chance of my crossing the border for anything other than a trip.

That and 3 hours LOL

Canadian Sources/ Sellers

Hey Who here is in Ontario, or Canada? Mainly for the purposes of selling Trek related things? So many of you are in the US, and buying things from you, is just too cost prohibitive. Exchange against our puny dollar. Shipping. Border issues. Damn. I hate cross border shopping. Sometimes I come acros...

DSC dead last... Poor ole discovery. It's all that weird ship flippity floppity spore drive, odd looking ships, cotton mouthed Klingons, and horrible dialogue, isn't it?
