Re: Wonderfest 2018, Just around the corner

I'd love to go, but I'm under a threat of grievous bodily injury if I even think about heading south towards Kentucky next weekend. My eldest daughter graduates from high school on June 1, and the graduation party (which is also for my twin nephews, who graduate tomorrow) is on Saturday afternoon be...

Re: In Progress - Sasser Class Attack Cruiser

I ended up being inspired when I saw some leftover nose gear wheels from a 1:144 F-111 kit. I built up the area using Aves, got everything pretty much square, then pressed the wheels in below the saucer rim, side-by-side. Not as large as the drive section on the Ambassador, but I think it'll fit. Be...

Re: FAKE AST Page at Facebook

I'll get back to posting as soon as I can. Lots have happened in the past few years and I've taken a rather long vacation from posting pretty much anywhere. I need to get photo links to old posts updated after I have a chance to migrate the photos from Photobucket to Imgur. That's gonna take time. I...

Re: Gizmo Excelsior

Wonderful build of a great model!

I built one years ago as the Melbourne and it ended up earning a Bronze at WonderFest in 2007. Sadly, I was still using the old Testor's DullCote crap for my final finishing coat back then, and she's yellowed over the years.

Re: In Progress - Sasser Class Attack Cruiser

Holy crap! It's been that long since I worked on this kit? Frack me! :o :o :o    Since my last post in this thread, both of my parents passed away (October & November 2016) and we moved into a new (to us) house (August 2016). Dang! Anyway, the Sasser Class is back on the bench and ...

Re: I apologize

No worries, old friend. Take the time you need to heal whatever needs to be healed. We'll still be here. I might be literally glued to my workbench, but I'll be here . . . (now, where the frack did I put that de-bonder??). :P

I'll add you to my prayer list, too.

Another year of WonderFest is quickly approaching, and I was wondering who was planning on attending this year.

Re: Official Current Pet Peeves Thread

Right now, my biggest pet peeve is the asshats in my subdivision who are launching fireworks IN VIOLATION OF THE SUBDIVISION RULES! This is a friggin' mobile home park, for cripes' sake. These homes are tinderboxes on pillar foundations! And you're firing off air-burst fireworks? Frackin' morons! Re...
