Re: Favorite Music

Not to spam the thread, but I thought of another: Christophe Beck. I loved his score for the Muppets.

Re: Favorite Music

I was rewatching Castle in the Sky the other day and thought of another composer: Joe Hisaishi, who scores Miyazaki's movies.

Re: Star Trek Transformers Mash Up

I'm not one for comic books, but this is a great idea. TAS doesn't get anywhere near the love it deserves, as far as I'm concerned. I actually like a number of TAS episodes, and the limited animation meant the the ideas didn't get swamped by eye candy.

Re: 5 New Star Trek Shows?!

Five sounds like too many, really. I'd prefer one outstanding product to five mediocre ones. I do hope they've been paying attention to that other major "Star-" franchise's latest for a lesson in what not to do.

Part of my confusion with this build is I don't recall what the Porteus looked like.
There are a lot of details that are only visible in quick sequences so it's hard to get an overall idea just from the film, which is why the backstage photos have come in handy.

Re: Favorite Music

I collect movie scores. Just love that type of music, among others. Any particular favorites? I'll list a few of mine. Patrick Doyle, favorites being Brannaugh's Henry V and Much Ado About Nothing . Ennio Morricone. The Untouchables , Once Upon a Time in the West , The Good the Bad and the Ugly , M...

Go “80’s hits” music or go home
I hear you man. The 1780s was the sh*t.

Also J-pop. I don't know why. It's the audio equivalent of pure sugar.

As I write this I'm destroying my hearing with Mahler no. 8. I always have something going when I'm modeling, whether on the computer or by hand. Podcasts, TV shows, cartoons, music, there's always something.

What do you guys/gals listen to when you build things?

Re: UGSF Proteus

Starting the fusion drive. It's simple now, but it's going to get a helluva lot more complex. I figured this would be a hard piece.
